Ms. Black began her practice in 2009 with U.S. Department of Energy as in-house counsel for the Bonneville Power Administration based in Portland Oregon, and after relocating to Albuquerque in 2015, as in-house counsel for the Southwestern Power Administration.  She later transferred to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, representing the U.S. Forest Service in civil rights matters, before leaving for private practice.

Ms. Black has transactional and litigation experience in a variety of practice areas, including labor and employment, civil rights, power contracts and rates, transmission regulatory matters, real estate, environmental law, and federal ethics.

Ms. Black is a former computer industry executive with NCR Corporation, where she served for 25 years in various engineering, product management, services, and sales roles, primarily based in Southern California.
